What do you actually want?
This is a question I’ve asked myself over and over in the past (and continue to do so), because it’s the beginning to manifesting anything. Anything.
It’s also the question that can bring up feelings of resistance, self-doubt, fear and a bunch of other shit that can hold you back from manifesting your desires.
One little question. Lots of stuff attached to it.
Because when you really sit back and ask yourself what it is you want, you open yourself up to endless possibilities and choices…in your business, your relationships, in your entire life….and the idea of having all those choices can be overwhelming.
Overwhelming to your human mind maybe, but not your soul and Higher Self.
It’s when we think too much about this question that we get caught up in the ‘how’, or believe that we’re not worthy of actually receiving what we desire.
We can overthink our way out of anything.
But what if you let your soul decide what you really want?
What if you allowed the part of you that really is your true self create the clarity you need?
Because that’s the part of you that knows no limits.
It’s the part of you that dreams beyond whatever you think your limitations are, and that craves expansion.
It’s the part of you that is God in action - here on Earth, in human form to experience everything!
And you can’t limit God. Not possible.
So if you’re feeling confused around what it is you desire, and your mind just goes fuzzy when you try to visualize what you want, step aside and let your soul decide.
Allow that higher part of yourself to guide you and hand your vision over to it.
Because when you do, it’ll show you what’s truly meant for you, and you’ll be given the clarity you need to manifest your soul’s desires.
Not what you think you deserve.
Not what you think you should create based on what’s happened in the past.
Not what you think you should create based on what other people have done.
But rather what the real YOU is here to create.

The Universe wants you to be happy, abundant, healthy, and have all the goodies on your vision board, but in order for that to happen, you have to allow those things in.
You have to let those things and experiences into your life and be open to receiving them.
Because you’re worthy of receiving what you want (it’s one of the perks of being a Divine being).
You were born worthy and you don’t have to jump through any spiritual hoops to prove that worthiness.
But because we’re human, we often block what we really want.
🐔We might love the idea of receiving something and then get freaked out over what would happen if we were to actually have it.
🐔Or we get caught up in fear because manifesting our desires often involves personal growth or doing things that are uncomfortable.
🐔Or we start to doubt ourselves and assume that if we haven’t received what we want by a certain date that it’s not meant for us.
All those things can block you (big time) from receiving what the Universe has in store for you.
Ok, so how do you actually open up and not block the Universe?
It all comes back to acting as if it was already done, acting as if you were already living in that experience, and allowing the Universe to do it’s thing.
You wouldn’t even really think about what you wanted that much after setting your intention, but you’d be constantly acting from the place of the person who has it.
It’s like when you’re driving somewhere new and you need to follow directions. You plug in your destination to your GPS, and then you just drive. You’ll likely check in now and then to make sure you’re still on the right track, but most of your trip is spent enjoying the drive.
You wouldn’t constantly be worried about not reaching your destination because you assume that by following the directions, and doing your part (the driving) to get there….you’ll get there!
And it’s the same with receiving from the Universe. Set the intention, assume it’ll happen and then allow life to unfold as it wants to while you enjoy the ride.
Soo…you know you’re always manifesting because as a co-creator with the Big U, that’s what you do. You manifest. All day long.
But a question I’ve been hearing a lot lately is ‘how do you speed up the manifestation process?’.
The answer…live MORE in your vision. Live even MORE as the version of you who’s created what you desire.
This means getting clear on what it actually is you want. Dig right into the details with this. What does it look like? What does it feel like? Who else is with you? Why is it important to you?
Those details are going to help you shift your energy and move into the vibration of what you’re manifesting.
When you can see yourself and imagine yourself as already being ‘there’ and living in that vision, your energy moves into alignment with your desires, and it’s taking action from that place that speeds up the process.
This is where we get tripped up though. It’s fun and easy to daydream and journal about what you want to manifest, but the act of living in that vision can be scary af because it means you’ll have to stretch and grow, and that growth time isn’t always comfortable.
You’re going to have to do things you’ve never done and take action that can feel super uncomfortable.
But that’s what growth is all about. It’s about expanding outside your comfort zone. It’s about breaking free from your own limitations and stretching yourself so you become the ‘you’ who already has the experience you want. It’s becoming the ‘you’ who’s already living in your vision.
Living MORE in your vision is BEING more of the version of you who’s immersed in it, and doing more of what she would be doing.
This could be changing your environment or moving, expanding your social circle, investing in your business or personal development, or spending more time doing what you love so you can chill out and get into a more relaxed flow state (which is the place where you'll be able to tune into your intuition and get those epic divine messages).
The specifics are all up to you because it’s your vision that you’re creating around you.
Just keep going back to what it is you’re manifesting, asking yourself who you would be if you were already in that experience, and then taking action (even when it’s scary) from that place.

2017 has been a massive year of cosmic shifts, and for a lot of us it’s been a pretty bumpy ride. The good news is, on the other side of those shifts, we have growth. And that’s all sorts of awesome.
Because growing and moving into your next level of being is liberating af.
You can see your potential in a clearer way. You’re more self-aware and can identify what’s been holding you back. You can see what your next steps are, and you can manifest with more ease and flow.
All good stuff.
In order to move into this next phase and create more of what you desire though, you’ve gotta let go of what no longer serves you.
It’s this letting go part that will allow you to fully embody the upgrades you’re growing through.
This could be letting go of certain thoughts, beliefs, ways of eating, environments, relationships… you’ll know exactly what it is you need to release because it won’t feel good anymore.
Your vibration won’t be a match for whatever it is anymore, and it will feel heavy, constrictive, or leave you with an icky ‘off’ feeling. This doesn’t mean that there’s anything wrong with what it is you need to let go of — it means it’s no longer a good fit for who you are now.
It’s as if those old things don’t fit you so well and they’re not really ‘you’ anymore (like the clothes you wore 20 years ago) because you’re operating in a different frequency.
As for how you let go…
Bring awareness to the situation. How does it feel to be in that experience now? It doesn’t matter what it felt like last week or even yesterday. How does it feel now?
Does it support the version of ‘you’ you’re expanding into? The thought, belief, habit, environment…is it helping you, or holding you back?
If it’s not serving you, what will? What would support the version of you who’s operating in that next level of being and expansion?
Then it comes down to consistently choosing those things that are aligned with who you’re growing into, and loosening your grip on what’s no longer meant for you.
And the more ok you are with letting go of the old, the sooner you’ll be able to manifest and experience more of what the expanded version of you truly desires.
Everything we do in life...everything we desire, create, and achieve, all starts off as a thought in our mind. These thoughts then initiate feelings inside of us, and these feelings create a vibrational frequency that attract people and situations to us. This is how our thoughts determine what we experience in life.
The best part?
We have full control over what we choose to think, and how we choose to experience life.
We’re constantly co-creating with the Universe to bring us what we want. When we feel good (happy, excited, grateful, and loving), we draw awesome things to us that match that vibration-yay!
When we feel bad (frustrated, overwhelmed, angry, and discouraged) we draw things to us that are a match to those vibrations-shitty! Basically, like attracts like.
One of the coolest things about being human is that we have the ability to picture things in our mind. The thoughts we have can be played out like little movies in our mind, and these movies help create emotions inside of us. It’s these emotions and feelings that determine what signal we’re sending out into the Universe.
Being able to visualize and see ourselves living the life we want is key to making our desires a reality.
Since our brains don’t know the difference between what’s real and what’s pretend (I use those terms loosely-everything is an illusion, but that’s a topic for another day) we have the ability to fake it ’til we make it. Or better yet, fake it ’til we become it.
Becoming more familiar and comfortable with the successful image of ourselves, allows us to fully step into being that person. Then, in the “real world” we can start taking action that’s aligned with our vision. It’s that action, combined with the vibration we send out that opens up the channel for the Universe to bring us what we want.
Ok, let’s get right into it......what is visualizing and how do you do it?
Creative visualization is simply imagining a picture in your mind. At first, it might feel like a struggle to see anything, but it’s gets easier with practice. It’s helpful to close your eyes and look up slightly (towards the middle of your forehead). Imagine a blank, grey screen (this is often referred to as your mind's eye). This is like a movie screen that you can project images on to.
Now pick an item you're familiar with, like an apple. With your eyes closed, picture the apple on your grey screen. See how red the apple is, and then look closer at its skin. Notice any colour variations like brown spots, and the texture of it. Practice seeing the apple from all angles, right down to the smallest detail.
Visualizing can take practice, but it's like working out a muscle. The more often you do it, the easier it becomes, and the stronger your visualizations will be. An easy way to practice is to take a look around the room you’re sitting in, and choose an object to focus on. Pick something simple like a lamp, or chair. Look at the object for 30 seconds, then close your eyes and imagine the object in your mind's eye (on your grey mental screen). You can do this during commercial breaks if you're watching TV to sneak some practice time easily into your day.
4 STEPS TO VISUALIZING YOUR SUCCESS!
The first step to visualizing your success is figuring out what success means to you, and what it looks like. For some, it might be speaking in front of a huge audience, travelling all over the world, or working from home and enjoying lots of time with the kids. Others might visualize themselves relaxing at a spa, writing a huge cheque out to their favourite charity, or seeing themselves signing copies of their best-selling book.
This is deeply personal, and there is no right or wrong way to do it. Some people might associate buying luxurious clothing and jewelry with success. For others, it might be staying home and being able to work in their pj’s. The main thing is to visualize something that’s going to create a strong feeling. If you’re picturing something and you feel so overcome with gratitude, and joy that you tear up-you’ve nailed it. Run with that. Create a vision that makes your heart want to burst with happiness, excitement, love and gratitude and you can’t lose.
Set aside a few minutes every day to focus on your vision. You can do this a few times throughout the day, but keep it short and sweet. I find anywhere from one to three minutes is ideal. You want enough time to clearly see yourself achieving your goal, and getting into that feeling, but you don’t want your mind to wander.
As you picture yourself being successful, notice as many details as you can. What are you wearing? What does your hair look like? Are you wearing nail polish? Jewelry? What's your posture like and how are you moving? Are there other people in your vision? If so, what are they doing? It's these details that will keep you anchored to your vision, and easily allow you to tap into the feelings you want to experience when you've reached your goal. The details will make it feel more real.
For example, one of my goals is to hit a certain level of income, and take my parents out to celebrate at my favourite fancy restaurant. In my vision I see us eating, laughing, and having an amazing time. I can clearly see us raising our glasses of wine together in a toast, and I know exactly what colour my nail polish is. As an added way to make this more real, I often have my nails done in the same colour that's in my vision.
Take inspired action. You don’t have to know all the details of what you need to do in order to be the version of you in your visualization, but you do have to do something to move closer to becoming that person. When we take physical action, it shifts the energy around us, opening up opportunities that the Universe has in store for us.
For example, let’s take someone who wants to motivate and inspire people by speaking in front of huge audiences on stage. What action could they take to get them one step closer to that vision? If they’re just starting out, maybe it’s getting clear on what their message is, and determining who needs to hear it.
Maybe they need to overcome stage fright so they join a local group like Toastmasters, or start making their own Youtube videos to practice. The point is to take regular inspired action. Yes, the Universe is working with us to bring us what we need, but we still have to show up and do our part.
Repeat steps 2 and 3. Every day. If you hold onto your vision, and take inspired action on a regular basis, you will ALWAYS be moving towards what you want to achieve, and it will become a reality if it’s aligned with your higher purpose.
Ah yes...there’s a bit of a catch. Sometimes we want things that aren’t meant for us- like winning the lottery. Sure you can picture yourself winning big, and you can take action by going out and buying a lottery ticket every day, but you might not be meant to receive a giant windfall.
Instead, focus on doing something that brings value to others, that helps people, and that makes you feel amazing because you're doing your part to make the world a better place (aawww...warm fuzzy feelings...).
Now it’s time to put things into practice and start taking that inspired action I was talking about. Reading about how to do something is totally different then actually doing it. The only way visualizing is going to help you become more successful is if you actually do it!
So right now (yeah, I’m putting my bossy pants on), schedule in a time to work these 4 steps into your day. When do you have a few minutes to yourself to focus on visualizing your future? First thing in the morning while enjoying your coffee? In the shower? Before bed? Choose a time and write it in your calendar -make a commitment to yourself.
Then schedule in the time you need to take the required action that’s going to move you closer to your goal. Focus on your vision until you become the person in that vision by taking consistent inspired action. Consistency is key.
