One of the perks of being human is that we’re manifesting machines. We do it 24/7 whether we’re being intentional about it or not. In order to create what you want your reality to be, you have to be deliberate with what you’re putting out into the Universe.
Here’s something I adapted from my spiritual practice (these 4 pillars are often referred to as “the witch’s pyramid”) that can help you manifest with intention so you get what you actually want.
TO KNOW: Get crystal clear on what you want and why you want it. If you don’t even know what you want, how on earth is the Universe supposed to deliver? It’s like going to a restaurant and asking the waiter to just bring you food. Sure you’ll get something…but you might not be thrilled with what you end up with.
TO WILL: What do you have to do in order to see your manifestation occur in real life? Are your beliefs in line with what you say you want? Are you fully committed to taking the necessary action to make it happen?
TO DARE: Sometimes we have to move through major fear in order to see our intentions manifest. Are you ready to step outside of your comfort zone to get what you want?
TO BE SILENT: While it’s great to have someone who supports you and who you can share your goals and intentions with, sometimes it’s best to keep quiet. Our friends and family can unintentionally effect us by sending out their own negative energy. Chances are, they want what’s best for us, and to see us succeed, but we may trigger their limiting beliefs and doubts causing that negative energy to get tangled up in ours. It’s not that we have to hide our plans, but be mindful of who you’re sharing them with.
Creating a vision board is one of the most popular things taught in the Law of Attraction/Manifesting world.
We stick pictures of what we want our ideal life to look like…...from vacation spots to our dream homes, cars, and ideal bodies on these boards knowing that we can attract these things to us (provided we’re taking real world action of course).
The problem with this is that our own blocks and limitations can get in the way and keep us from attracting what we want. We can stare at a picture of our dream house all day long but we’ll never manifest it if we don’t really believe we can have it.
The solution: Think of the smaller details that go along with the big things you want to manifest.
If it’s more clients you want, put a picture of a signed contract, two people shaking hands, or a pic of a fully booked calendar on your vision board.
If you have an ideal body image in mind, use pictures of healthy meals that would help you reach your fitness goal.
If your dream home includes a beautiful garden, focus on images of the plants and flowers you want to be surrounded by.
Chances are you don’t have blocks when it comes to these smaller details, and using images of them will still help you manifest what you want.
The city I live in is nicknamed the “Forest City”. We’ve got trees. Lots of them. And last week, a lot of those trees got their limbs cut off-it’s pruning season.
Workers have been busy cutting off the branches of the trees that line my street, and let me tell ya, I found it to be a bit emotional. Now, I get it…they’re trees. It’s not like they were screaming in agony as parts of themselves were removed, but on some level I felt sorry for them. The places where their branches had been cut off looked like open wounds…..fresh and exposed to the elements after being chopped off by machines.
Part of me felt bad for the trees (hey, I’m a tree-hugging hippie at heart- I can’t help it), even though I logically know that pruning off their branches allows the trees to be healthier.
This got me thinking about the parts of ourselves that we have to let go of in order to properly grow and be healthy.
What beliefs do we have to let go of?
What habits do we have to quit?
Are there people in our lives that we should break ties with?
Anything that we hold onto that doesn’t serve us, is holding us back energetically from being able to receive more of what we do want. It’s keeping us from seeing the results we want to see in our lives and business. Sometimes we hold onto to things out of fear, or out of habit, but in order to fully grow into being our true selves, we have to remove them. We have to prune away the stuff that’s holding us back. By pruning away what no longer serves us, we’re opening ourselves up to more possibilities. We’re opening up an energetic channel for more good to flow into our lives, and we’re opening ourselves up to new experiences and opportunities.
The act of pruning old beliefs and habits isn’t always pleasant. It can be down right painful because like the branches of the tree, they’ve become part of us. But if we look at the big picture, we’re able to see that letting go is a necessary part of life. It’s nature. Old things fall away, and are replaced with new.
What things are you willing to let go of in order to grow?
What are you ready to prune away?
