It’s the New Moon! Sort of.
Technically it was yesterday, but it’s still prime time to work with the energy of this moon phase.
The new moon is all about letting go of what you DON’T WANT so you can make space to call in what you DO WANT. Because you can’t keep trying to manifest more awesomeness in your life if you’re committed to holding onto the stuff that’s actually repelling that awesomeness.
This letting go and releasing can feel hard though because we get addicted to the very things that are holding us back.
The old stories about why you can’t do something.
The thoughts that rear their ugly head when you’ve ALMOST hit your goal that cause you to retreat, stop moving forward and send you right back to where you started.
The beliefs you know aren’t doing you any good yet you can’t seem to shake.
They’re like crack.
Despite the fact that you know those things have gotta go, they cling to you. And you cling to them because they’re comfortable.
It’s what you know.
And every time you re-tell those stories and mull over those downer thoughts, you strengthen them.
Just like any other addiction - the more you indulge in it, the more it becomes part of you.
That’s why releasing and letting go is crucial.
Because those things aren’t you. Not even close.
You’re not meant to be burdened down with that limiting BS. You’re not meant to be pulled in and seduced with negative stories that play like a broken record.
The stories that tell you ‘it’s never been done before so it’s impossible’, or ‘you’ve been trying to reach that goal and it still hasn’t happened…maybe it’s time to throw in the towel’.
They’ve got to go if you want to start manifesting the things you truly want, and the new moon’s the perfect time to say buh-bye to them.
Just a heads up - they’ll likely come back. The fears, the doubts, and all the other stuff standing between you and your desires will shift and morph over time. You’ll ditch some, and then as you grow and expand, you’ll be met with more of them. No biggie. Once you get in the habit of noticing what’s limiting you, you’ll be able to meet it head on and decide that you’re no longer going to give your power away to it.
Then (this is the fun part), you replace what you don’t want with what you DO want. Yay! You dream about what you truly want to create in this world, and allow those things to take centre stage in your mind. You allow the thoughts, the stories, and the images of what you actually desire to become the focus of your attention.
You release and you call in.
Turning this into a ritual can make it a sacred, powerful af act. If you want to add some magic to this process, and take it beyond a journaling exercise, here’s what you can do….
Get yourself into a relaxed state by taking a bath or shower (this also rinses away any negative vibes you picked up during the day), light some incense and quiet your mind for a few minutes. If you connect with a higher power or guides, this is a great time to call on it/them for guidance.
Write out the things you want to let go of ( limiting beliefs, old stories, negative thoughts, etc) and place your list under a black candle. Light that fucker up.
As the candle burns, imagine the things on your list being banished from your life.
Afterwards burn the list or rip it up and toss it out.
To call in what you do want, write it all out and put that list underneath a white candle.
As it burns, imagine your life with more of the awesome things/experiences you desire.
The most important part of the ritual comes next. You take action. That’s how we ground the spiritual work we do (because what’s the point of doing any of this if it’s not transferring into our day to day life right?).
Grab your ‘this is the awesomeness I DO WANT’ list, pick a few things you can do today that are aligned with those desires, and then do them.

This time of year a lot of people wait until the New Year to begin things.
Whether it’s finally getting clear on what you want to do in your business, getting more visible online, or reaching out to potential clients, there’s this idea that all of that can be put on hold until the New Year.
THEN you’ll make things happen.
THEN you’ll really show up and put yourself out there.
THEN you’ll set some serious goals and intentions that will rock your business and take it to the next level.
Why don’t you just start now?
Chances are you already know what you want to be doing.
You probably have a good idea of what you want to have happen in the next year, and in the next few months.
But you’re waiting….
Once that clock strikes midnight, THEN you’ll start going after what you want.
What’s really stopping you from doing all the things you’re GOING to do now?
What’s really preventing you from getting clear on your desires and then bringing them into reality by taking action NOW?
Are you telling yourself that December’s almost over so there’s no point in starting now?
If so, what is it about the last few days of the month that don’t count?
Why aren’t they important?
Would you stop eating, showering and brushing your teeth because you’re waiting for the New Year to make a fresh start?
Let’s hope not. Ew. (how ridiculous would that be?!).
If you’re a purpose driven entrepreneur…if you’re here to make a difference…if you have a message and want to help people….what the hell are you waiting for?
What’s really holding you back from starting now?
The people that need your help are out there right now and they’re waiting for you.
There are people out there who need EXACTLY what you have to give them.
Not next year when you decide to get your shit together, but RIGHT NOW.
You don’t need to wait for a special day on the calendar.
You don’t need to wait around just because everyone else is.
Your fresh start…your new beginning…that can start today.
Your people need you.
I have 3 spaces available in my 1:1 program and some super sweet bonuses for those people who are ready to take action before the end of the year (we're talking daily support, intuitive guidance, monthly energy clearing, and an early bird rate ). Book your free clarity call below for more info.
What if you just decided to let it all go?
The should haves, the could haves, the excuses…the things in your past that you know are holding you back.
What if you just decided those things from your past didn’t exist?
That they didn’t have to affect your future and determine the outcome of what you’re doing today.
The past is only good for two things. It reminds of our old patterns, fears, beliefs and habits that have created our current reality. We can look around and see the results of last week’s, last month’s, last year’s thinking and use that as a reminder that if we want things to change, WE need to change.
It’s also good for remembering warm fuzzy memories that help us feel connected to positive experiences and people we care about.
Far too often though we use the past for other reasons. We cling to it and allow it to dictate how we act today. It’s so easy to look back and think “the last time I tried this I failed..I’ve never been good at (insert whatever it is you want to do now) so what’s the point?…but my parents did (blah blah blah)….”
What if the past was no longer relevant? (btw, it’s not)
What if you could start over today and create what you wanted based on what you choose to believe today?
Right now. As you’re reading this.
What would you start doing?
What would you create in your life and in your business?
Who would you reach out to?
Who would you surround yourself with?
What version of you would you allow to come out and play?
I know the past is a comfortable place to hang out. You know it so well…the stories, the memories, and the vivid scenes that reaffirm who you once were.
The truth is though, it doesn’t exist.
It’s a place you go to in your mind when you need to remind yourself of why you can’t do something.
Sure you can look back at the good memories as well, but honestly, how much time do you spend back there rummaging through your old bullshit instead?
It’s like the moment you decide to do something new and outside your comfort zone, you first take a trip down memory lane (just for kicks) in order to dig through your old memories to prove to yourself why you can’t possibly do this new thing you desire.
Of course you could choose to think back and remember all the times things went RIGHT, or you could recall some happy memories of grandma baking cookies, but come on…when you’re trying to manifest new things in your life that require you to do new things, which memories take centre stage in your mind?
What if you decided to keep the good memories filed away and said goodbye to the rest?
What if you decided today that you’re going to create your future based on what you believe to be true about yourself, the Universe and other people right now?
What would you start doing?
What would you create in your life and in your business?
Who would you reach out to?
Who would you surround yourself with?
What version of you would you allow to come out and play?
It really is your choice. You can do that.
After all, you’re in charge of your mind. Nobody else is.
One thing that can stop us dead in our tracks when we’re deliberately manifesting our #magicalfuckingdreamlife is FEAR.
Fear of what though…what do you really have to be afraid of?
Your inner power.
Your inner light.
Your ability to create your life with intention.
You might be reading that and thinking…wtf?..those things aren’t scary…
No? Then why haven’t you manifested what you truly want? What else is stopping you?
The first answer that might pop in your head is money. Followed by time. Let’s get rid of those excuses shall we?
You don’t need more money to manifest the life you want. You need resources. You need ideas and you need to get those ideas out of your head and into reality so they can serve people and provide value. That’s where money comes from.
As for time (this is one my favourites excuses-trust me). We all have the same 24 hours in a day and there is proof everywhere of people creating epicness in their life by leveraging the time they have.
So now that those 2 roadblocks are taken care of, we’re left with our old friend FEAR.
As Marianne Williamson said:
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.”
It’s a fear of who we have to become, who we might have to leave behind, and fear of the unknown future that seems safe in our dreams yet scares the shit out of us in real life.
It’s fine to journal, to visualize, to daydream and THINK about what we want to create, but to make that happen we have to live it out.
That’s the part that gets messy. That part involves other people, changes and choices we’ll have to make, and doing things that pushes us way outside our comfort zone.
Once we take a look at what scares us and shine light on those things, we take the power away from our fear. It’s no longer hiding in the shadows of our mind. It’s confronted, it can’t hide, and it can be dealt with.
So what comes up for you? When you think about the life you want for yourself and the version of you who’s ALREADY created it, what did she/he have to do to get there?
What actions did you have to take?
What did you have to overcome?
What did you have to believe about yourself?
When you think about those things, what feels uncomfortable? (this is probably something you know you is going to help move you along your path, yet something you’ve been resisting).
What can you do today to feel uncomfortable?
That’s the thing you have to do. That’s what’s going to bring your fear into the light so you can move through it.
Working with the 5 elements (earth, air, fire, water, and spirit) is not only a great way to connect with nature, it's also something you can bring into your manifesting/magickal practice.
Since we’re all connected to these elements, and we can find representations of them pretty much everywhere, working with them can be fun and super easy.
Here are ways you can work some everyday elemental magick.
Air is connected to your thoughts.
Everything you’re manifesting starts off as a thought and you can use this element to help you get clear on what you want and to set your intentions. The best way to work with Air to get outside and feel this element around you. When setting your intentions/goals, you can grab your journal and head outside and ask Air to guide you and give you clarity. If you’re stuck inside due to the weather, you can focus on your breathing and use breath work as a way to connect with Air while thinking about your intentions.
Water is connected to your feelings.
One of the most important things you can do when working magick is to be able to tap into the feelings your desired outcome will bring you. Your feelings are going to raise your vibration to that of what you’re manifesting and make it easier for it to come into your physical reality. The next time you’re in the bath or shower, visualize whatever it is you’re deliberately manifesting and ask that Water help with the process by connecting you to your desired feelings.
Fire is connected to your will.
Your will is what’s going to help you take the action you need to in the physical world - even if you don’t feel like doing it. It’s all fine and good to visualize your desires, but at the end of the day, you’re going to have to do the real work as well. To work with Fire, light a candle while you write out your daily to-do list and ask the element to give you energy throughout the day to help you get shit done.
Earth is connected to your body.
This element grounds everything else to the physical realm and can help you become who you need to be in order to manifest what you want. Earth energy is all about getting your physical body used to acting as if you already have what you want. Connect to this element by paying attention to your surroundings and the people around you. How is the version of you who’s already manifested what they want interacting with the world? How are they walking, talking, and responding to their surroundings?
Spirit is your Divine connection.
This element combines all the other four together and is our connection to Source energy/God. While we have a lot of control over what we manifest, there are other energies at work and Spirit can help you with the things that are out of your control. Call on this element through prayer, writing, art, or any other way that feels right for you and ask that it guide you and others to help you manifest what you want and that it be for the good of all.
One of the biggest things blocking people from manifesting is that they care too much about what they want. They focus night and day on that thing or experience they’re after and because of that, they repel what they’re trying to attract.
With magick, we’re taught to get crystal clear on our intention, project that intention into the Universe, and then let go. We need to release any ties to the outcome and know that once we set our clear intention and release our energy towards it, the spiritual/mental work is done ( we usually still have to take some action in the physical world).
Magick teaches us to let go and assume that we’ll get what we want.
It’s this letting go (or not giving a fuck) that will draw the experience/thing you want closer to you faster because it works on the principle of magnetism.
If you think of a magnet, it has a north and a south end. Like poles will repel each other and opposite poles will be attracted to each other.
It’s the same way with things we want to manifest - in order for them to be attracted to us, we can’t have the same “charge”. If we focus sooooo much on the thing we want, it will push it further away.
Human relationships are a perfect example of this. Imagine going on a date with someone, having a good time and wanting to see them again. If you focus all of your energy on that person, and call/text them constantly after your date, they’re going to run in the opposite direction. The clinginess will drive them away (yeah...don't do this..ever. It's creepy)
If however you release your intention (let them know you had a good time and would like to see them again) and then go about your regular life, they’ll likely want to see you again if they’re into you.
You have to get into the energy of not giving a fuck and know that if what you want is meant to be, and you set the intention/do magick to get it, it will be yours.
It comes back to knowing and trusting. Know that you can attract whatever you desire, and trust that the Universe will bring you that or something better.
Are you going to get what you want 100% of the time? No. There are greater forces at work, and us humans can’t see the big picture. We could also be trying to manifest things that aren’t aligned with our higher self and for our greater good at the moment.
For the most part though, when we create an opposite “charge” by not obsessing over what we want, whatever it is will be drawn to us.
Working with the moon is a great way to rev up your manifesting mojo and while most people are familiar with the 2 main phases (new moon and full moon), there’s a third phase that often gets overlooked — the dark moon.
The dark moon is actually the day marked on your calendar as the new moon. Confusing? Yep.
If you look outside at night on the new moon, you’ll see….well, you’ll see nothing. The moon is dark and blends right into the night sky. It stays this way for about 1.5 to 3 days and THEN it becomes the new moon. The new moon phase begins when you can start to see a crescent of light in the sky.
What does all this have to do with magick and manifesting?
Typically on the new moon, we release what we don’t want and set intentions for what we want to manifest and create in the future.
And that can work really well.
I love the idea of letting go of what no longer serves me and then filling in that space with positive intentions — out with the old, in with the new!
But there’s something to be said for taking time to focus ONLY on releasing.
I think too often that we’re in a hurry to fill up space and start calling in our intentions without fully releasing (aka banishing) what we don’t want. I think the reason why ( I’ve noticed this with myself at least) is that we’re uncomfortable with the emptiness.
We’re uncomfortable with the nothingness and the quiet.
It’s all fine and good to write out a list of things you’re ready to move on from, but if you sit in that space...that empty/in-between space that comes before you begin to focus on what you’re manifesting, things can feel really strange.
We’re not used to that in-between feeling. We’re so used to constantly moving towards the next thing that we forget to pause and take a breath.
That’s what the dark moon is for.
Rest and release.
Letting go of anything that’s holding us back, making us feel like shit, or hindering us and then taking time to fully sit in that space. That’s the space where the deep stuff rises to the surface. The ugly stuff. The stuff that we THINK we’ve dealt with.
But the good news is, the dark moon gives us space to come to terms with those things. The dark moon gives us permission to look at the ugly stuff we (often unknowingly) shove down and hide. When we’re able to sit in the emptiness of the dark moon, allow those things to surface, and then banish them, we’re in a much better space to call in what we do want.
Of course there are no rules you have to follow when it comes to moon magick, but if you feel like there’s something deeper that you’ve been carrying around, doing dark moon magick can help you release it.
Here are some things you can try…
Write out what you want to release and then burn a black candle over the paper (stick a plate between the candle and paper — don’t burn the house down). As the candle burns down and diminishes, imagine whatever you’re releasing diminishing as well. When you’re finished, burn the paper.
Write out what you to release and condense that into one or two words. Take a piece of paper and write those words out in large print at the top of the page. Write the two words out again below, but make the print smaller. Keep writing out what you’re releasing in smaller and smaller print until you get to the bottom of the page and the letters are so small you barely read them. The whole time you’re writing, focus on releasing that which you don’t want until it disappears — as the print size gets smaller, so does your problem or issue. Once you’re finished, burn the paper.
Take the next couple of days to do nothing (I’m talking about manifesting and setting intentions-you still have to “do life” ) and wait to see what surfaces. Chances are, more things will come up that you’ll want to let go of — yay! If they do, repeat whatever you’ve done already to release them (it’s a process). Then do nothing again until you can see the light of the moon coming back.
Then, with the light of the new moon, you can call in your intentions and deliberately manifest your ass off knowing that you’ve done your best to clear whatever needed to be cleared.
Since we’re here in physical bodies, it’s best to take care of them as well when we’re doing this kind of work. Here are things you can do to feel better physically as you do releasing work…
*cry (this is a major one — it releases a shit ton of toxins)
*get lots of sleep and nap if you need to
*use a dry skin brush before showering to help release toxins
*walk barefoot on grass/sand
*eat grounding food (root veggies like sweet potatoes are perfect)
*do EFT (tapping)
Here’s to banishing the old and making room for the new!
What if everything you wanted was already right in front of you?
What if it was ALL in your life right now?
The clients, the freedom, the health, the money, the blissful feeling you’ll have when you’re only doing work you love….
What if all those things were already here?
Truth is, they are. All of the things you “want”…that you’re seeking out and working towards…it’s already here. Right now.
The problem is, you can’t see those things because you’re looking at your world through the wrong lens.
And because of that, you’re not acting like the person who can actually SEE that everything you want is right in front of you.
Try looking at things through a different lens - from the perspective of the person who already has whatever they want.
Are they doubting themselves and questioning if they can actually have whatever they want?
No. It’s already theirs.
Are they unsure of where the money’s going to come from?
No. It’s always available to them.
Are they stressing out trying to figure out how to GET things/clients/good health/love/etc?
No. They already have those things.
Instead of waiting for what you want to manifest, assume it’s already yours and that everything you need is already available to you.
How would you feel?
How would you act?
Now feel that way and act from that place as often as possible.
ASSUME that you already have whatever it is you want.
Because once you shift your perception and actions you'll see that whatever you wanted was already there.
You need to raise and match your vibration to who it is you need to be in order to live the life you want.
THAT’s the way you grow and expand into who you truly are.
You raise your vibe.
Sounds simple enough, but what does that even look like in real life?
Let’s break down into steps (‘cause numbered lists are freakin’ awesome).
Here we go!
1. Get a clear idea of who you actually want to be. Obviously, it’s still going to be YOU, but it’s the YOU living the life on your dream board. How is that person spending their time? How are they feeling? (chances are it’s happy as fuck). Get right down to the details….what are they wearing, driving, eating…what does their body look like, who are they spending time with? This is the ultimate, high vibe version of YOU.
2. Take a really good look at your current life. How close is it to the one you envisioned in step one? Be honest. How big is that gap?
3. Go deeper and look at your daily rituals and habits…look at how you’re showing up in the world…look at your relationships…your health….look at what (and who) you’re doing in your spare time.
Are those things aligned with your ultimate vision of YOU?
FYI: It doesn’t matter if you’re not “there” yet…you’re always going to be growing so there’s no final destination. What matters is that you’re moving in the right direction…that you’re making choices, decisions, and actions based on who you want to be.
4. Check in and notice how you’re feeling based on the current actions you’re taking. Sure you can tell yourself you’re happy but if you’re not taking daily action to align yourself with the person in step numero uno, you’re kidding yourself. You’ll be frustrated, irritated, and stuck in the energy of “wanting”. And that leads to being super low vibe.
5. It’s time to close the gap between where you are currently, and where you want to be. It’s time to raise your vibration. There are two parts to this (god I love lists!!) .
a) You have to take care of your body. You are a physical being - made of energy. What you put into your body and how you take care of it WILL have a huge effect on the frequency you’re vibrating at. If you’re overdrinking, smoking, drugging, or binge eating Twinkies while you hold the couch down every night..…quit it. Feed your body real fucking food and exercise your little meat suit regularly. Chances are, the dream version of you is a healthy one correct? A healthy, functioning body is going to vibrate higher than a rundown, sluggish one.
b) You have to think and act like the version of YOU you’re aiming for. That person on your vision board has done things differently than what your current self has done. They’ve thought better thoughts (hooray for having a positive mindset) and taken better action. THIS is the most important part of keeping your vibration up - the mental game.
THIS is the “acting as if” thing you read about in all the new age books. In order to raise your vibe up to where it needs to be, you need to act and feel as if you’re already that super high vibe, most awesome version of you.
6. Now it’s just a matter of daily practice. Each and every day (moment really), you have the opportunity to stay at your current vibration, and continue living your current life (btw, if you’re honestly happy and content there - awesome. No need to change a thing). OR, you have the option of moving more fully into the highest vibe version of you by thinking and acting as if you already are that person.
This isn’t about pretending to be somebody different. This about being the version of YOU you were created to be. It’s about shifting your energy from where you are now, to where you want to be. Lower vibe to higher vibe.
It’s a process…a practice…and it never ends. Get clear on who you want to be, set intentions/goals to get you there and take action. You’re going to have to do things differently, probably get very uncomfortable, and move through a shit ton of fear and self-doubt along the way. You're going to have to shift from one energy into another. It’s simple but it’s not always easy.
This is what I help people with. I help people shift from one vibration to the higher one they need to be at in order to reach their goals and create the success they want.
If you know you’re ready for a shift, I have 3 spaces available in my 90 day 1:1 program beginning July 25th.
If you'd like to know more, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
